***Be sure to read the news post before this one!*** It's that time again, the time you've been waiting for all year! Let the retro festivities begin!  Retro packs are now stocking in the cash shop - 5 beads for a single pack and 7 beads for a double pack! This year, you will receive a BONUS retro pack when you open every 10th pack!   Retro packs contain a random item which can include any monthly treasure pack previously released on the site, plus: pattern addition, subtraction and color change potions, base color change potions:     One of these lovely Khistopher's Cove Backdrops    Or a Ferran Chrysalis!  or if you are REALLY lucky, a Mystery Chrysalis Pack!  Snagged too many duplicate treasures while trying to get those special items? No worries, as you can turn in these unwanted items during "turn-in" events for wonderful prizes! .......................................................................... Don't have beads for retro packs? Don't worry, we have a host of retro activities planned for around the site, including Fortune Cookie Tokens that you can gather to earn free retro packs! We are making some changes prior to the release of retro packs and wanted to give everyone a heads-up! We are planning to discontinue the human avatars feature at some point, and human avatar wearables from retired monthly treasure packs don't really serve much of a purpose at this point. Therefore, we've decided to update the contents of old monthly treasure packs with new items that will be more useful! Old human avatar items will either be scrapped entirely from the packs (but not from the site), or in some cases where we feel they may serve for general-purpose deco, they will be changed into resizeable deco items (in both the packs and everywhere on the site). Where they are scrapped, they will be replaced either with new items or recolored items/khimbits. The following is a list of changes that have been made to retired monthly treasure packs. New items in bold. June 2009 Mohawks, ram's horns, bovine ears, and dreds have been removed from this pack, leaving 8 items. Stripey hats have been turned into resizeable deco accessories!  ........................ July 2009 Rose tattoos and flutterbye masks have been removed from these packs, leaving a whopping 12 items! ........................ August 2009 Flame Hair and Flame Scarves have been removed from these packs. We do have plans to turn the flame wings and the elemental flames into resizeable deco editions. ........................ January 2010 Winter Hair and Glacier Hair have been removed from this pack. Glacier staff of ice and Staff of Ice have been modified into resizeable deco items. These items actually give you a choice of TWO poses! Simply hide the unwanted pose behind your background layer. Note: you will still need to select "layer 1" to move the item around, even if you plan to show layer 2 when you are finished.          ........................ March 2010 The mystical armor pieces have been removed from these packs, and the mystical shields and swords have been modified into resizeable deco items. You can now really see the lovely detail on the shields! The Black Piko has been renamed to Black and Gold Piko, and the Stardust Piko has been renamed to Blue Stardust Piko. New additions to this pack include the Emerald Stardust Piko and the Black and Silver Piko!          ........................ April 2010 Spring Hair/Cherry Blossom Hair and Delicate Jewelery have been removed from these packs and some new items added! Current pack contents: Cherry Blossom Cerbie Cub, Cherry Blossom Dear Fawn, Cherry Blossoms on the Wind, Fox Cerbie Cub, Fox Dear Fawn, Maple Keys on the Wind, Patched Cerbie Cub, Toxic Cerbie Cub.         ........................ August 2010 Sand Dollar Belts have been transmogrified to Beaded Sand Dollar Garland. Seashell Necklace has been turned into a resizeable deco item. There are 5 pieces to this item, each layer with a different orientation so that you can fit the necklace onto more bases. Hide the unwanted orientations under the background layer. You will find the results in THIS THREAD! To claim your gold xochiyotlcoatl(s), please submit a help desk report. Please remember that you will need to create an "under" design and save in the custom demo, then link to your saved slot and include this in your help desk report to receive your custom. As a reminder, the "under" breed for the gold xochiyotlcoatl is, of course, the xochiyotlcoatl draak! You will also need to provide any extra items like serums or glow potions, and have them ready in your inventory and have any extra beads on hand if required for your underlay. If you do not have these extra items/beads, you will not receive your custom until they are provided. *Please also provide an overlay name for your xochiyotlcoatl!!!* For those of you still holding a special xochiyotlcoatl token and missed out on the selection period, you will still able to use this token during a reselection period.  1 Comments |
