There's been a lot of craziness going on around the site due to multiple users moving into accounts where the usernames had already been changed recently (meaning they could not be changed again for several months), leading to confusion over who owns which account in the chat and the forums.

Because of the difficulty this is causing for both other users and staff, some changes have had to be made.

Starting now, if you wish to move into a new account, there will be a fee of 10 beads that must be paid by anyone moving into a new account. This service will include having your current username, forum threads, personal trophies, Communities, etc. switched to your new account. You may also choose to have your inventory and khimeras moved by staff, where possible (in some cases you may need to move them yourself) to your new account (included in the fee). This will take all the hard work out of moving accounts, and considering that it's only 5 beads more than a name change alone, we don't think this is too onerous.

You MUST carry over your previous username to your new account. If you wish to change your username in six months time, you may. However, it's too confusing to both users and staff when a user changes both their ID number and username at the same time. If you change the username on your account, you must wait at least 3 months before moving to a new account.

Using the new system, you may change accounts as often as you like, and your username will always follow you.

We are not really in favor of users being able to switch accounts. We allowed it because we knew it was something the users wanted, even though it was a headache for staff. If you don't think the new fees are fair, please consider that we were forced to do *something* by the escalating ridiculousness of the situation with users frequently jumping accounts. By far the easiest thing for us to do would have been to forbid the sale and trade of accounts altogether. However, we went out of our way to figure out a solution that would still allow account transfers to take place while maintaining sanity on the site. I hope you will understand why we had to do this.

We WILL also be watching for users who attempt to surreptitiously trade accounts without going through the site, paying the fee, and having their username follow them. Anyone caught trying to circumvent this process will have their account frozen.

If you wish to change accounts, both parties must put in a help desk report titled "Moving Accounts" and Nasire will take care of it.

From now on, when you release a khimera, you will have a 1 in 2 chance to receive an additional breeding slot in addition to your 100 TR!

Because of this change, all khimeras 1000 TR and lower have been removed from sale to prevent sniping. You can decide whether to put your lower priced khimeras back up for sale or cash them in for breeding slots.

Breeding slots will still reset every week, however, so you must use up any slots before 12:00 AM Friday.

This should allow for a bit more in the way of fun, experimental breeding :)

There was a problem with usershops earlier today in which all items were set for sale for 5 TR. This was caught before any items were sold from shops. However, we had to remove all items from sale and set their prices to zero.

Shops are back up again, but you will have to re-price all the items in your shops ;_; Sorry about that.

Nasire investigated the problem and we are not 100% sure what happened but she has fixed what she thinks may have been the problem. Hopefully it will not happen again, but if it does, we do have our hourly site backups to fall back on, so even if we had to do a rollback, not much would be lost :)
