Arabi treasure packs are in the cash shop!

As promised in the temp forums and as we mentioned in the item FAQ in the help forum, after there have been a year of Monthly Treasures, we are releasing some previous monthly item packs. From now on, every July will see the release of Retro Packs, containing all the Monthly Treasure packs from the previous years on Khimeros.

When you open a retro pack, you will receive a Monthly Treasure pack from June 2009 to May 2010. This year there is a 60% chance to get a June to November pack and a 40% chance to get a December - May pack. There is a very very rare chance of getting a Haiti Relief Pack as well!

Won't this make old items too common? No. Even if we sell 1000 packs - which is considerably more than the average - there will only be an average of 5.6 rares and 13.2 commons each for old items and 5.4 rares and 8 commons each for new items, assuming all packs are opened right away.

This is not enough to radically deflate the value of old items, considering that there are now over 5000 accounts on the site, but is enough to give those who were not present on the site when old items came out, a chance to get their hands on something they really want.

Because these packs contain retired items, the price is slightly higher than usual. There will also be a special Arabi cash shop pack available for the usual price.

To celebrate Aluriya's opening month, we thought it would be fun to include one of Aluriya's first pets as a khimbit on khimeros! The arabis can be found prancing through the meadow for July only!




As these are special khimbits, they are not breedable and have no gender.

The Aluriya account auction is over, and it was a big success! All ten slots were claimed. The highest winning bid was $154 and the lowest winning bid was $107. Thank you for supporting Aluriya!

Flat sales will be opening very soon. I do not have an exact date. I will post 24 hours notice in the news here before flat sales open.

Finally the last of the items from the temp forums are finished! The August 2009 items are in the database and Crashy has handed them out. If you did not receive yours, please check out the August 2009 Monthly Items thread in the Help forum and post there.

The Aluriya account auction will end at 6 PM EST (site time) today! Good luck to everyone who is participating!

I do not have a start time for Aluirya flat sales yet. I will post at least 24 hours notice in the news here before flat sales start. It should be fairly soon, however, the site is still in development, and while you will be able to have a look around the site, game play is not operational yet so keep that in mind!
