Just wanted to let you guys know that the Aluriya alpha account auctions will begin on Friday. These auctions are for those who are really set on getting the account number of their choice. Accounts available are #3 - #9 and #11 - #20.

Whatever accounts remain under #20 will be reserved for sale at a later date (after alpha phase is over). Alpha account flat sales will start at #21 on a first-come-first-served basis, will begin after the auction has ended.

BTW. All the proceeds from the auction will go towards art and server fees for Aluriya. None of this money will be used in any other way.

Lin is offering a new Dragon Kite themed craftable!



This is a limited edition craftable. However, since it's a bit late in the month, and it's a bit more challenging craftable than usual, it will probably stay around for a while past the end of the month.

First off, I want to say that I used the term "dye" because it's a term that most people will understand from other sites. I did say that we would not actually be using the term "dye" on khimeros, and we will of course take the concept of adding markings to pets apart from the custom maker, and turn it into something that fits with khimeros.

It appears that the vast majority of users want markings that pass down. I think I have a good scenario for this that will fit with the idea of the site :)

I want to point out that any markings that pass down will continue to be natural or "organic" markings. Not things like hearts, stars, plaid, etc. Khimeros IS a fantasy site, and will continue to have markings line vines or petals that would not strictly be found in the real world, but there is a line that I don't want to cross XD

I don't see why we can't also have tattoos or painted markings that DON'T pass on. Painted markings/tattoos could be just about anything, including things like hearts and stars, potentially (just to use the same examples). These will probably come later, though.

I'm also planning to add a "marking eraser" for markings that are NOT added through the custom maker.

The first of the new markings will be available as limited edition items in the cash shop, for probably between 2-5 beads. When the tea shoppe opens, there will also be (different) markings available for trinkets ;)

Originally, we planned to have dyes for khimeras that were like hair dye basically, it would not pass down to offspring.

I'm hoping to actually get out some dyes or dye-like markings soon, and I want to know whether you guys still prefer dyes that don't pass down, or would you rather have non-custom-demo markings that once added will pass down to offspring?
