Bring your khimeras, any khimeras, to the wishing well with a wishing penny, and if you are lucky an Inversion Sprite will bond with them! Bonding with an Inversion Sprite will permanently invert all your khimera's hex codes, creating a "color flip" (unless you visit the well again or use an Inversion Essence, available from the cash shop).

Once a khimera's colors have been flipped, there will be a "Color Flipped" title on their page. Their offspring will then breed down forever with these new colors unless you flip them back.

For those of you who may be new and don't understand how the wising well works, you must first reach gold trophy level in Tai & Kai's quests, after which you have a random chance to gain access to the well every time you complete a quest (once you gain access, it is permanent). Each time you complete a quest thereafter, you will also have a chance to win a wishing penny, which allows you to take a khimera for one trip to the well. There, you have a chance to either have a sprite (khimbit) follow you home, or to have a change made to your khimera's appearance.

Panthira Demo



You can now skip over to the custom demo to get a sneak peek at the panthira, before they become available.



As you probably recall, we had a poll with two options, and the majority of votes were to have retro packs cost their usual price, and to have a panth chrysalis as the special bonus item that you can win randomly when opening retro packs. So that is how it will work. We may also include a small number of gryph chrysalids just to keep a little new blood going for the gryphs.



Monthly Upgraded Item

The monthly upgraded item for this month is "random pick". That means you can get any of the previous monthly upgraded items that are at least two years old. This was meant as a feature for retro month, but was accidentally released early. So, we'll have "random pick" for two months this year! Some of these items have become so rare that they are virtually unobtainable, so I don't believe it will really hurt to keep this option around for a couple of months, this first time. This will be an annual feature of retro month.

Site Tweaks

(some of these have been out for a little while, but just in case nobody noticed)

- You can now set a default lair group other than "unsorted"

- There is now a dice widget available for upgraded users! This means you can play the dice game directly from any page if you have it enabled.

- For those who would like a bit more room for their shoutbox, you can now choose in "Account Setup", under Site Settings, to left or right justify the main page layout on your screen, which essentially moves all the empty space in the layout to one side or the other. That makes more room for your shoutbox and dice widget.

- You can now choose "fixed" or "unfixed" for your shoutbox and dice widget. This gives you the choice between the shoutbox/dice widget remaining in one place on the page while you scroll the rest of the page content, or having them scroll along with the page. You might want to try out the different options to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

You can now generate your free khimbit copy from your draakiths, as well as make copies to sell! You can generate copies from the Your Overlays page, linked under "Main" in the site navigation.

Khimbits will be available until June 30th.

We have also decided that since for gold custom khimera khimbits, there are a lot of them for people to collect, we'll be reducing the price for copies to 5 beads instead of 10 beads.

We know that with retro month coming up, a lot of people are worried about allocating their bead resources, so please don't panic if you can't afford to order draakith 'bits right now. We will make them available again in the fall if you miss out now!

IN ADDITION there is a new way to sell your custom khimbits.



Meet Khalist, the Custom Item Shop NPC

ONLY when custom khimbits are available for creation, you can put up your bits in the new Custom Item Shop. You can stock your khimbits and set a price. When a khimbit sells, the site takes 5 beads from the purchase price and the rest goes to you. This means that you don't need to have the beads up front to purchase a custom draakith khimbit before selling to a user. However, this option is only available while khimbits are createable, so if you want to have copies to sell in your user shop later, you will need to pay to create them up front, before they are retired!

Just be aware that for the next half hour or so, Wisu will be doing some maintenance on the database with the khimbits, so you may notice some bugs while this is being worked on.
