While I was visiting the tea shoppe earlier to have a few potions made, Onyx asked me to pass on that she has stopped producing the fantastic glowing potions, and based on what the woolabits have told her she anticipates they will be all gone sometime tomorrow. June is our annual "getting ready for retro month" month, and as such there will be no monthly treaures this month, to give everyone a little breathing room in preparation for retro packs.

For those who don't know what "retro month", and the follow up of "turn-in month" are, I'll give you a brief run-down.

Retro Month

During retro month, you may purchase "retro packs" that, when you open them, will randomly give you a monthly treasure pack from a previous month. You may even be lucky enough to get pre-opening packs from June-August 2009. Packs from April 2012 - present are omitted. Haiti relief packs and Japan relief packs are also possible to receive when opening a retro pack.

This event gives more recent users a chance to pick up some of the older monthly treasures that they may be missing.

In addition, there are "bonus" items that you have a rare chance to recieve when opening a retro pack. Last year, for example, certain gryph chrysalids were included as "bonus" items. More important information about this year's retro packs, along with a poll, will be posted below, so please be sure to read the whole news post, and vote!

Turn-In Month

Following retro month (July) we have "Turn-in month", in August. Turn-in month drains off all the excess treasures that people have saved up all year, as well as any extras that people received during the retro month festivities, in order to keep the value of these items at a reasonable level throughout the rest of the year.

You will have the opportunity to turn in any unwanted monthly treasures to receive points, and there are special items that you can purchase with these points. Again, there are special bonus items - last year, for example, the demo-able gryph chrysalids were the "special item".

I will also reveal that this year there will be a non-bead event to go along with the usual turn-in month festivities, but you will have to wait until later to find out what the event entails ;)

Now, I'm going to reveal that this month's bonus item in retro packs will have to do with custom demo-able panthiras. Exciting, right?!

We are giving you two options, that you can vote on, and the option that gets the most votes will be the one we implement for retro month. If you want your voice to be heard, then vote!

Choice 1: Retro packs will cost the same as usual monthly treasures - 3 beads each or 2 for 5, and the bonus item is a "panthira sprite" that you can use with an asadia chrysalis, to create a panthira in the custom demo. In this case, you must purchase the asadia chrysalis yourself. Sprites will not work on already-created asadias.

Choice 2: Retro packs will cost their usual price of 4 beads each or 2 for 6, and the bonus item is a panthira chrysalis that you can use to create a panthira asadia directly in the custom demo, at no extra cost (unless you want to add extra markings, etc, as usual).

Please note that the custom demo panthiras will ONLY be available from retro packs. We have a completely different bonus happening for the turn-in event, something never seen before on the site. We hope you'll all enjoy it!

That all the potions they hid in the swamp have been discovered, so you will no longer find firefly potions of any kind in the swamp. There are still some to be found in the meadow, forest, mountains and beach, however, so keep looking!!

Before we get to the fun stuff...

Signing up for a new account so you can play games and send the TR to your playing account in order to pick up potions (or whatever) is a freezeable offence. Please just don't do it. We have very good tools for tracking same household transactions, and we WILL catch you. Don't toss your account away for a few extra TR. We don't like having to ban people :c

This month's serum pack contains two kinds of serum: Nebular Cloud and Glitter Star

Couple of important things regarding serums!

First off, we've been monitoring the rarity of serums and I think they're turning out to be quite a bit more scarce than would be ideal. So from now on if you open a treasure that contains a serum pack, you will instead receive TWO serum packs. Hopeully this helps to relieve the pressure a bit.

Secondly, we have a new class of marking with the Glitter Star serum! You can choose to place this serum marking on top of the lines on your khimera! Miasma is being retroactively added to this marking category (When creating a khimera, you can choose to layer the marking in the usual way, or on top of the lines). Some time soon we will also run an event where for a limited time you will be able to create a potion to change the position of miasma on existing khimeras if you choose.

Multi Pack Opener Change

You can now use the multi pack opener to open packs from ANY MONTH except the first months when we had rares available in packs (this will not apply to retro packs, but will apply to the regular monthly packs you get from the retro packs). As of now, only February 2012 to now are included, however we'll be adding the rest of the months as we get time.

Don't forget the bonus item! This month's bonus item is the Relic Xenos!
