This month's new khimbits are the Ankora, sporting a new look!




To breed yourself an ankora, go to the Meadow -> Breed Khimbits. You will need to select two ankoras from your den to breed together. Not every combination works, but each combination that does work will give you the chance to produce a different color of Ankora. Please note that khimbit breeding is available for upgraded users, only. :) Also note that different male/female combos DO count this time - for example, female blood/male ocean will produce a different result than male blood/female ocean.

You may breed khimbits once every 12 hours; the counters reset at noon and midnight, site time. If you try one combo of khimbits and it is not a valid "recipe" to create an ankora color, you will receive an error message and be able to try again. If your breeding attempt fails though, you will need to wait until the counter resets to try again.

If you are especially lucky, you may receive a "twin" khimbit during any successful breeding. This month's twin is the Tiger Ankora!

The prizes for Crystal Quest have been updated, and you can now win retro packs! In addition, panthira, special gryph, and random gryph chrysalids have been added to the pool of possible chrysalids to win!

Your chance of winning a chrysalis from a crystal quest has also been doubled, for July and August only!

It's retro month! And that means retro packs!



For those who may have never participated in our special summer events before, the purpose of retro month is to allow users to "catch up" on items from previous treasure packs that they may have missed out on. This usually results in a vast increase in all monthly treasure items, so we have a follow-up event in August where users can "turn in" unwanted/excess treasures to get points that they can use to buy special packs of items only available during turn-in month. This prevents a glut of devalued treasures on the market for the rest of the year. More about turn-in month below!

For those of you who were not here last year, when you open a retro pack you will randomly receive one monthly treasure pack from any previous month, from June 2009 to March 2012! Arabi, Haiti, and Japan Relief packs are also included though the relief packs are rare.

The bonus items this year are the Panthira Chrysalis and the Panthira Alternate Sprite Pack!



We previously said that there would not be a way to "alternate" existing Asadias into Panthiras, but we decided to include some sprites for this purpose as the "mandatory" bonus item. When opening packs, the Panthira Chrysalids are a rare bonus item, but if you open a total of 25 packs, you will receive a Panthira Sprite Pack, which contains two Panthira Sprites that you can use to change an existing Asadia into a Panthira alternate!

In addition, Random Gryph Chrysalids and Special Gryph Chrysalids are included as bonus items.



When using a RGC, your new khimera will come in one of 5 random overlay colors and a random gender. Under the overlay color, your pet's base will be either pure white or pure black, and have a random eye color for breeding purposes.

When you use a SGC, you will be allowed to choose from 10 overlay colors, choose the gender, and choose a base color and eye color for breeding purposes.

When breeding your Panthira alternates, it works the same way as other alternates - there is a 20% chance for any Asadia offspring born to be a Panthira when one parent is a Panthira, and 40% chance if both parents are Panthiras.



Retro packs cost $4 for singles and $6 for a double pack. They are available in the cash shop now, only until the end of July!

Now, on to turn-in month!

This year we are doing something completely different.

Most of the events we've done have involved khimera breeds/alts/overlays, so this time we wanted to try something we haven't done before.

We've created two pools of items that you can get randomly when opening turn-in packs. The "common pool" contains regular accessories and other equippable items that act like any other item on the site. The "rare pool" contains over 100 Master Items.

Master Items are unique, one-of-a-kind items. For example, there may be a total of 10 Fire Elemental items, each specific color being a one-of-a-kind item that you can receive when opening a turn-in pack. You can choose to keep the item unique to yourself, OR you can sell copies of your item in the Custom Items shop.

There is a 3 bead "tax" on the sale of Master Item copies, meaning that if you sell an item for 6 beads, 3 beads will go to you and 3 beads will go to the site. There will be no time limit on the sale of these items, and you may choose to stock as many as you like and price them how you like!

Just to give you a taste of some of the Master Items that will be up for grabs (If you have viewed these khims before you may need to refresh to see the items):

Fire Elementals in Lightning and Hallow colorations (just two of several colors).

Water Elementals in Ocean and Rainbow colorations (just two of several colors)

There are numerous other items available, but that's all I'm going to preview for now ;)

In addition, there are a minimum of 25 uniquely colored khimbits available in the rare item pool. Again, just a sampling:



Turn-in month begins in August, and there will be more previews later ;)

There is also another non-bead-related event coming for turn-in month but I will not reveal the details on that just yet!
