We have started the raffle for the gold custom Shidar that we showed you all a few posts ago, here. The tickets are purchased with last year's Masquerade candy pieces. Be sure to spend them now while you still can. This is the last time they will be used for anything. In honor of Masquerade, we have a new backdrop pack that is now available in the Cash Shop, the Creepy Forest! It will be available for a month, so make sure you get yours before they disappear! We've got something new creeping in to the Wishing Well just in time for Masquerade, skeletal bases for all the basic breeds! Ayalons, Embarrs, Likos, Asadias, Grimms, Draaks, Uwilas, and Kalans can all be dipped to show their skeletally creepy sides! Just remember that once they are dipped, the changes are permanent. Skeletal Grimm There are three different kinds of skeletal khimeras, the basic, spirit, and possessed. Skeletal Spirit Draak Skeletal Spirit khimera overlays are available only through the Masquerade 2013 Essence which is available in the cash shop. You can also create the basic Skeletal khimeras with the Essence. Skeletal Possessed khimeras are available only through the Wishing Well. Platinum Customs and the Passing of Spelunking and Khimbit Turn-Ins By Karos (#18352) on 7th of October, 2013 00:38

**First of all, this is your notice that spelunking and khimbit turn-in will end tomorrow evening!** We are introducing a new feature that users have been asking for since before the site opened! Regular Platinum Custom Esperi (draak overlay) Originally we said "no" to user-colored Khimeras because we want to keep the quality and style of site art consistent. However, we've come up with a compromise. We are releasing a new type of custom, called "Platinum Customs". Each platinum custom base will be available for users to color/have colored and cannot be obtained in any other way, thus avoiding confusion regarding which pets are official site pets and which are user-created. These bases are limited edition and can be obtained by purchasing a token from the cash shop. At the moment we are planning to retire bases and add a new one after approximately two months, but this is subject to change. Once retired, the tokens will no longer be available to purchase from the cash shop, but may still be used and sold in user shops. Retired tokens may be available via event prizes, or special events/sales. Under the current system, they will not be available for long-term purchase in the cash shop for a period of not less than two years from their original release date. Regular platinum customs can only be colored "inside the lines", and require a platinum token of the desired base. Be sure to read this page for additional rules. Upgraded platinum customs may be colored inside and outside of the lines, and require a platinum custom token of the desired base, and a platinum upgrade token. Be sure to read this page for additional rules. Platinum custom tokens cost $30 each, and platinum upgrade tokens cost $20 each. Included in the price of the token is the generation 1 "underlay" khimera. Each base will have an associated breed that must be used for the underlay. You must design your underlay and save it to one of your demo slots before you can process your platinum custom. Underlays come with the usual two free patterns/one free variation or two variations/one pattern unless otherwise specified. Extra patterns or variations may be purchased at the usual price, and you may use serums and glow items as long as they are available to be taken from your inventory. To begin processing your custom, simply click the platinum custom token in your inventory. If your design requires an upgrade token, it must be in your inventory when you submit your order. Platinum customs breed down just like gold customs do, at a rate of 20% when the offspring has a pure draak base, and you can adjust the pass-down rate of the custom image (for gen 2+) from 20% to 2% and set it to "female only" as well. Upgraded Platinum Custom Esperi (draak overlay) Our first base is the Esperi, a Draak overlay! The Esperi is the first platinum custom base, and also the first "extended" Khimera base! The Esperi is 700px wide and will be cropped for lair thumbnails, but will be revealed in all their glory on their pet pages. You can retrieve the .psd file for the base here. You do not need to purchase a base to experiment with the .psd. You can access platinum custom orders via the Event menu. There is currently no tutorial for coloring the base (Twi will be making one, but she is under the weather atm!). A tutorial on how to color the psd can now be found HERE! If you run into problems or need information on what to do, you can prowl the Lounge/chatbox for Onyx or Twi, who should be able to answer your questions.
