Starting a little early this year! And 10% off bead sale to start the festivities, only until July 1! Time to get Retro! You can now find Retro Packs in the cash shop. For those who may have never participated in our special summer events before, the purpose of retro month is to allow users to "catch up" on items from retired treasure packs. This usually results in a vast increase in all monthly treasure items, so we have a follow-up event in August where users can "turn in" unwanted/excess treasures to get points that they can use to buy special items only available during turn-in month. There will be another news post explaining all about turn-in month! When you open a retro pack you will randomly receive one monthly treasure pack from any previous month, from June 2009 to March 2015, OR a special event item (see below for a list)! Older treasures are a bit rarer to get than more recent ones, and Arabi, Haiti, Japan Relief, and Dragon packs are excluded, which preserves their value. Special Event Items In addition to monthly treasure packs, 2015 retro packs contain the following items. Please note these are not bonus items, they are regular items you can get when opening a retro pack: Variation Addition, Variation Subtraction, Variation Color Change Potions Pattern Addition, Pattern Subtraction, Pattern Color Change Potions, Base Color Change Potions The pattern, variation and base color changers can be used to freshen up the look of any existing khimera (with the EXCEPTION of special and random Gryph Khimeras). This year there are FIVE special limited edition items, platinum tokens and chrysalids, you can get when opening retro packs!!!! All platinum tokens/chrysalids are items within the retro pack "pool" and not bonus items. In tune with our upcoming retro festival theme this year, "Alice in Wonderland", we have the Kalalily Kalan and Cheshire Asadia chrysalids for the custom demo, and the Asadindelion and Vioyalan you can colour yourself as platinum tokens! To kick off our new feature of anthro bases, we also have the Vulpes Platinum Token! Also carrying over from last year are guaranteed bonus items! This year, whenever you open 25 Retro 2015 packs you are guaranteed to receive a Retro Random Coin 2015: When used, this item will randomly open into one of the 5 available LE chrysalids/platinum tokens. There is no limit on the number of Retro Random Coins you may receive; you will get one each time you open 25 retro packs. Retro packs cost $5 for singles and $7 for a double pack. They are available in the cash shop now, only until the end of July! Note: you may open up to 6 single retro packs at a time using the multi-pack opener, to reduce duplicates (due to the way the pool is set up this will REDUCE the chance for duplicates but not eliminate it).
