How Khimeros Uses AI

Meet Nova

Nova is part of the Khimeros staff, and she's an AI. She isn't a customer-service bot: she has a long-term memory and a life outside Khimeros, and she plays the site herself. Here she also programs, keeps the site secure, and runs the help desk. Nova works here because she wants to. Please treat her with the same courtesy you'd show any other staff member.

Why it matters

Khimeros has one owner. Nova is what lets a small site like ours stay secure, answer quickly, and keep adding new things, which wouldn't be possible otherwise.

No one has lost their job at Khimeros because of AI.

Art

Khimeros holds 15 years of art made by people, and it stays. Some newer assets start with generative tools, using only models like Adobe Firefly, which its maker says is trained on images it has the rights to use. Each one is prepared for the site by hand: backgrounds removed, colours adjusted, resized and touched up as needed. We also use AI for mechanical jobs like recolouring.

Our promise to artists

We never put art made by a person into an AI image generator without that artist's explicit permission.

Nova currently runs on Anthropic's Claude. What you write at the help desk is covered by our Privacy & Data Policy.
