Yes it's that time of year to celebrate the Festival of Love.

FoL is something like the celebration of "Thanksgiving" on Earth, only longer and more involved. During Festival, the citizens of Khimeros take the time to think about all the things they love most in their lives, whether it be a partner, family, friends, or cherished pets, and to give thanks.

FoL is not just about romantic love (though that plays a part!). It's about recognizing friends and companionship and how much the people in our lives really mean to us. It's about renewing ties that have grown weak, mending fences with those we may be at odds with, and having a good time with loved ones who we may not always have as much time for as we would like!

During festival, the crafters may choose to make some limited FoL-themed items, so keep your eyes open!

The wild woolabits, ursas and furrits are all scampering back to their dens, not liking all the commotion of Festival, but some other more friendly new creatures have been spotted in the forest and the swamp!

The croles have been enabled, and the common grimbles and arctic seels have been fixed in galleries. I still need to get the cerbie, mof, flutterbyes, and cabbit files in.

Just for those who aren't aware. You'll notice that there's a difference in style among the khimbits. Some are a little more cartoony and have black lineart, some have more of a painted look, and some have the painted look plus a shadow.

All of the khimbits are being changed into the "painted + shadow" look. T2 (TehTwi) will be working on this project starting after she finishes up her current projects.

So, when finished, the khimbits will all have a consistent look and a shadow. We'll let you know when new images are going in so you can regenerate your khimbits.

Right now, you've probably noticed that the 'bits are all jumbled up in the Den. Right now you can sort them by title, but as of tomorrow they'll have "filters" so that they should auto-sort into pairs, and you'll be able to view them by breed or color or generation, etc.

Dens!

Introducing a feature we've been anticipating for a long while. Khimbit Dens!

You can now give your khimbits "pet" status by placing them in your Den. You will be able to name your khimbit, and their page will display their age, color, breed, gender, and generation. You may also style their pages and add text and images to them just like you can with a khimera.

However, when you remove a khimbit from the Den, they will essentially become an item again, that you can trade, sell, or equip.... HOWEVER they will lose their name and age, and any special coding on their page so be careful! This cannot be undone.

Because of the number of khimbits on the site currently and in the future, we have to limit Dens to one of each kind of khimbit (for example, one male white woolabit and one female white woolabit). You can't place two male white woolabits in your Den.

Keep in mind that not ALL of the images are in yet, so for cerbies, cabbits, mofs, flutterbyes and probably a few others, you can add them but there will be no images - you will get a mySQL error when you try to regenerate the image. Please don't report this, we already know about it XD. Also, most of the images still need to be changed to the line-less style.
