It's a good thing there are no raiths to be found in the meadow at this time of year, as the Kitt has arrived!

...Actually several words XD
I felt that I should explain a few things about how the economy here works, and how it will continue to work, because I think a lot of people are used to playing on different kinds of sites where the items remain available for a longer period. Because we have "Festival" months every second month, with limited edition khimbits and craftables, this means that prices, particularly for these items, are going to fluctuate. This does NOT mean the economy is unstable - the prices will, for the most part, fluctuate in a predictable way - one that you can actually use to your advantage if you play smart! Whenever ANY new item comes out, the price is going to be high. As the item becomes more common, the price will lower. Usually with the limited khimbits, crafting items and to a lesser degree the craftables, this happens pretty fast, within a matter of a week or two or even less. During the later part of the time these items are available, the price will drop. Sometimes crafting items won't drop as much, sometimes they even go UP at the end of the month as people scramble to complete their items. Often right after the month is over, or during the latter part of the month, the khimbit prices in particular will drop as people manage to pick up multiple extras. Then, with the more time that passes, the price will go back up again because there are more users, many of whom were not around during the release month, and no more of the item being released. Part of how much they go up depends on how rare they were, and also on how popular that particular 'bit was/is. It's not reasonable to expect that if someone is selling a crafting item for 2 beads on one day, that it will remain at that price forever. Also keep in mind that a player can set any price they want in shops - that does not mean that that is, or ever was, a reasonable price for that item or that anyone was actually BUYING at that price! Now I'm not making claims here as to the stability or lack thereof, of the economy as a whole - however, I personally feel that we don't actually have enough members yet to have a *really* stable economy. It will come. I just wanted to address the particular issue of limited edition Festival items and how the prices for these items will change over time. You can make a very nice profit selling Festival khimbits and craftables, however, you'll have to be prepared to WAIT for prices to go back up. You are basically making an investment for the future by gathering extras of these items and saving them. If you are patient you'll find that most limited khimbits and craftables will sell for a bead or more later, and best of all, the khimbits are even entirely free to pick up! 19 Comments |

You never know what you're gonna get!
This is a feature I've been anticipating for a long time. It allows you to change the opacity of your Rainbow marking from 101 - 255%. What this does is alter the way the Rainbow gradient appears on your khimera. Below are some before and after images showing how changing the opacity alters your khimera's Rainbow marking, "beofre" images on the left and "after" images on the right. The two Rainbow/Pandacoon examples are exactly the same except that the opacity has been changed: ![]() So as you can see, the colors AND placement of the color bands also changes depending on the opacity you use. Khimas will come out with a range of opacity between the two parents, meaning the khimas will have a different appearance depending which opacity they inherit! The Rainbow Enigma will ONLY pass on if BOTH parents are Enigmas. The Enigma will also change over time! When making a custom, if you wish your khimera to remain exactly the same forever, make sure that you choose an EVEN NUMBERED opacity. Odd numbered opacities will change over time to anything from a different color gradient, to colorful stripes, to... who knows??? It's an enigma! When the enigma changes, you will have to refresh the image in order to reflect the change, so your khimera will not change until and unless you refresh the image. The Enigma can *only* be added to existing Rainbow marked khimeras. Which means, any Rainbow marked khimeras that exist now, or any that are created/born in the future - but the khimera must exist first, in order for the Enigma to be applied. Currently you cannot test what the Enigma will look like without a Prismatic Crystal item, but we will hopefully be adding it to the custom demo for testing purposes. In order to change your regular Rainbow khimera into a Rainbow Enigma, you must purchase a Prismatic Crystal from the cash shop. 44 Comments |
