I want to make a reminder that the custom khimbit ordering thread is not currently open, and that it may not open again for some time, and further that it won't be opening again without significant changes.

The first batch of customs were a trial run, and they ended up taking WAY longer than anticipated and people were ordering far more complex designs and asking for a great deal of interpretation on the part of the artists, for example "I want something that's colored half way between an emerald and a saphire" or whatever.

When khimbit custom orders are re-opened we will not be allowing this amount of complexity without major "bribe" prices - it's not worth it for the site or the artist otherwise - and you will be expected to provide your own basic hex codes that the artists can work from.

I'm letting you all know this because it's been brought to my attention that people are taking beads for pre-ordering khimbits even when the thread is closed. There is no guarantee that you will even still be able to order the complicated designs you have in mind when the time comes, or for the price we were offering them at before.

Making an interest check thread, or one where people who are interested in purchasing a custom bit can contact you once you order, is fine. But I would advise against anyone acutally paying beads now for something you cannot be sure that you will ever receive.

"We reserve the right to change the details of how customs work at any time, and to adjust prices based on demand and the amount of time it actually takes to create them; we can't really know this before doing a "trial run"."

The leather collars have been given an update to lineless style, and will soon be available for Characters as well. You will have to regenerate your images to see the updated art.

As many of you already know, the pre-opening items from last July and August needed to be re-drawn to be added to the site because we changed the Khimeros art style. Twi is working on these now and the July items should be ready to be released soon for those who previously ordered them. When they are ready we will make a news announcement so they can be picked up. Some of the August items are already done, as well.

I forgot to mention... due to user feedback, instead of having common and rare monthly treasures, this month we are trying a system of having all items available at the same rarity. This should make it a bit easier to get that item you may be hoping for!
