We've decided to implement some changes that I think you guys will like :3

First, we're going to drop the price on customs!

The new price for purebred chrysalids will drop to 15 beads and the new price for hybrid chrysalids will be 30 beads! The new pricing will take place approximately one week from today. If you own custom khimeras born on or after ("born" date information, not actual creation date) the 10th of September you will be credited 5 beads (10 for hybrids) per khimera.

If you create any custom from now until the price change you will still receive the extra bead credits. Any existing chrysalis when the price change takes effect will not be elligible for the bead discount (i.e. if you have chrysalids lying around and want to get the benefit of the credit, you will need to use them).

For those who have hybrid designs that they want to have made before the bases change, we'll also be increasing the numbers of hybrid chrysalids available for purchase in the Chrysalis Cave, for a limited time. I am not sure for how long we will keep this going, but we'll give warning before we increase the rarity again. This will begin immediately after the price changes take effect.

Second! We are implementing a rewards point system on bead purchases!

From now on when you purchase beads, depending on the amount of your purchase, you receive special points which can be redeemed for extra beads or raffle tickets! Raffle tickets entitle you to a special monthly draw, with a total of eight prizes for eight lucky winners:

- Hybrid Chrysalis (top prize!)
- 10 beads (two winners)
- Monthly treasure (five winners)

You may trade in 8 points for 5 extra beads, or 15 points for 10 beads. You get more points for purchasing beads in bulk - you may view more information on the table located here.

Points cannot be traded or sold, but they will never expire.

The points system was actually put in place for testing already, so if you made a very recent beads purchase, you may already have points racked up :3

I want to clarify a few things that seem to be getting missed in all the discussion.

First. You will not be forced to change the pets you own now, or that you create/collect until we implement the new system. Not now, and not in the future. You can CHOOSE to convert or not convert.

Second. After giving it some thought, while we can't keep the existing pets in the format they are now on the site (a double-sided, back and front pet), we can keep the appearance similar and just convert them to the new system. They would look the same (or very similar) but would in fact be compiled into a single image. We'd need to convert them to the semi-lineless style of the asadia-likos I showed earlier, but they were already slated to be changed to a lineless style anyways, so you would not be losing anything. We'd also take the opportunity to fix some of the issues like the back half of the likos. I know that some of you would prefer we keep the pets exactly the same, but we're trying to find as good a compromise as we can here, and we'd keep them looking as similar to their current appearance as possible. Hopefully this is a solution that will satisfy most people.

This would mean that when breeding, you'd get some old style pets born, and some new style.

Third. There WILL eventually be more than one hybrid per combo. That means some will look like full blends, and some will have more of the front-and-back half feel. We'll try to mix them up so there's something that appeals to everyone. It's just going to take some time to build up a library of different combos/poses.

First off - there will probably be plenty of news posts in the next few days, so be sure to check and make sure you've seen all the news.

OK, first thing keep in mind - these are CONCEPT sketches. That means that nothing is set in stone.

You'll probably notice that in some cases, there's more than one sketch per pose. Later on we'll probably be asking you to choose between poses, but for now I'd just like you to have a look. I'd like to leave some time for people to look and get past first impressions before we actually get to the decision-making. In some cases we might save the extra sketches to be made into additional alternates later, if both versions are popular.

As some of you may have noticed, we have implemented an outbox feature for PMs. We have also added a system where you can "<3" important messages as an organization tool. You can then toggle between all messages in your inbox, and selected messages only!

We do have another exciting announcement to make that I think many of you will find welcome, but Nas and I have a little more work to do on it, so there will be more news on that later today.
