Hey guys! We've just released a few minor things:

- Beads in your bank: you can now save up for that shiny custom khimera by putting your beads in your bank for safekeeping. You'll find options to deposit and withdraw beads in your bank page.

- If you're writing long posts with lots of bbcode, you will find the new preview button handy. Click it at any time to preview your post, click the preview to go back to editing mode. You can preview any post edits as well!

- There's a new module, "shop". If you add it to your profile it will display a random item you have for sale that links to your shop, to lure people to visit your shop!

We've got more cool stuff coming soon. :)

So, Hibbary expressed an interest in creating some custom khirins, so we are having a special event!



Until the end of December, you can order a custom khirin alternate khimera. You may choose colors for the body, belly scales, hooves, horn, mane and eyes, plus a theme. Or you can just choose a theme and let Hibbary pick the colors, or you can just say you'd like "blues and greens" or "rainbow colors" etc, and leave the exact color placement up to her. You may choose to have the "scales" visible or not (if the theme is likely to be very "busy" you may wish to leave the scales layer off). You may also name your custom color! For example, on their page they will be labelled as "Galactic Storm Khirin" much like our other alternates are named "Tiger Panthira" or "Natural Ayalar".

Examples of "themes": "starry sky", "oceanic", "volcano", "paint splatter", "rave", "white tiger". Please keep in mind that there will be no lineart edits, and choose accordingly. For example, "steampunk" does not necessarily make a good theme in this case because it would likely require lineart edits to really create a steampunk effect. Hibbary reserves the right to ask that a new theme be chosen if she feels she cannot realistically create a requested theme without lineart edits or for any other reason. The site also reserves the right to approve all themes for appropriateness. You cannot withdraw your order once it has been placed, so make sure you ask any theme-related, or other questions, in the INFO THREAD before placing your order.

More than one person can order the same theme, but each one will be individually created.

You may not request extras such as jewellery, lineart edits, or specific markings, such as "I'd really like four white feet and a star on the forehead". You may ONLY choose colors and a theme and all customs are "artist's interpretation", meaning that you may not ask for changes unless the custom is significantly different than what you asked for - for example you asked for blues and got oranges instead. This is to ensure that we can get any customs out in a more timely manner and keep the price as low as possible. If you feel that you're likely to be upset if your khirin does not come out exactly the way you expect, please do not order a custom - this will save everyone from headaches.

If you wish, you can also order a khirin with wings! Wings will cost an additional $15 and will include wings to be included on your ayalon custom.



All khirin custom images come applied over a generation 1 ayalon. All ayalons will come with mane and unicorn horn by default; if you wish these to be left off, you must specify this. For your custom ayalon you may choose a body color, mane color, horn color, and upper and under colors (you may also leave upper and under off, if you choose). If you wish to add extra patterns or variations to your ayalon, you may do so. Extra patterns and variations will cost $10 each, just as they always do when creating a custom. They must be paid for at the same time as you pay for your khirin, and you must specify the pattern order and hex colors for patterns and/or variations, in your order.

When ordering, you *must* send payment before posting your order and include "I have sent ____ beads to Onyx" in your order. Any orders that are posted without bead payment being sent will be deleted without warning. This is to avoid confusion regarding who has paid and who has not paid, for Hibbary when she goes through the order thread. Making the process go smoothly helps keep prices down for everyone!

Custom khirins cost 45 beads each, including the custom ayalon. You may order up to ONE extra copy of your custom for a reduced price of 35 beads (plus any extras for added patterns, wings, etc). You MAY order one with wings and one without. You may order as many custom khirins as you like as long as you order before January 1st. We will be making every attempt to get these customs out in a timely manner, but be aware that it may take a few weeks for customs to be applied if we get swamped with orders.

There is no guarantee that orders will be completed in the order that they appear in the thread!

...but before I show you what they are, a quick side note. In case it was not previously mentioned, we thought you might like to know that you can now equip multiples of the same items on your Human Avatars, just like you can with your khimeras. :) And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming:



Starting today, when doing quests, you will have a chance to receive on of these Oriental-themed items from Kai and Tai!







If you've got a Bronze trophy, you'll be able to get the Maneki Neko, in black, gold, traditional, and white.






If you have a Silver trophy, you have the opportunity to receive Paper Lanters, in multicolored, orange, red, and white.






Owning a Gold trophy gives you the chance to obtain Giant Bamboo, in black, golden, green, and lucky!

You may have noticed two nifty new features. You can now search for alternate khimeras (wulf, panthira, etc) using the khimera search!

There is also a nifty new guide that contains information on alternate khimeras, as well as images of all alternate khimeras on the site! We hope you will find this useful. you can view the guide under the "Help" Link in the main navigation :)
