It's time to unleash the fenniks!!!
  Turning in Your Forageable Khimbits Go here to turn in your forageable khimbits/items to earn points. Each khimbit/item you turn in will earn you 1-3 points. You can then spend these points in the point shop found on the same page. Details below! Fennik Chrysalis Creation Here's how it works. Each user can create up to 10 fennik chrysalids. Each khimbit you turn in gives you one point to spend, and there's a sliding scale of point cost to create a fennik chrysalis. The price goes up by 5 points after each pair you create, with a base price of 20 points. So, your first pair of fennik chrysalids will cost 20 points each, your second pair will cost 25 points each, etc. Fennik Extras In addition to chrysalids, you may use your points to purchase these items (note that all of these items except the breeding crystal are for use in the custom demo when you create a fennik, NOT after the fennik has already been created): Pattern Crystal (5 points): Adds a pattern to a fennik Variation Crystal (5 points): Adds a variation to a fennik Enigma Crystal (5 points): Use *with* a pattern crystal to add a full body enigma marking to your fennik Enigma Shard (5 points): Use *with* a pattern crystal to add a rainbow enigma marking to your fennik. Breeding Crystal (10 points for first 5; 15 points for #6-10; 20 points for #11-15 ): Allows you to breed your fenniks. Note: these will also be available as rare items through foraging (coming soon), and also as an uncommon restock item in the cash shop). Each user may purchase up to 15 breeding crystals from the shop. Fennik Breeding Fennik Breeding is nearly identical to khimera breeding. Exceptions: - Multiples of the same pattern: Fenniks can have multiples of the same patterns; for example, a single fennik can have two tiger patterns. If you are wondering why, try playing with this in the demo to see the interesting effects you can get with different colors ;) If there are multiples of the same pattern on both parents, then for example tiger marking 1 will mix with tiger marking 1, tiger marking 2 with tiger marking 2, etc. If there is no corresponding pattern on the second parent, it will simply pass on at a lower opacity, the way it normally would if one parent has a pattern and the other does not. - Variation Order: Instead of following a dominance hierarchy like khimeras have, variation order is random. So if both parents have feather and fae wings, for example, they can inherit both wing types, but which one shows will be random instead of feather wings being dominant to fae wings. Fennik breeding is instant, there is no wait time for the offspring. There is also no wait time before you can breed the offspring. There is a 20% chance to get a twin when breeding your khimbits, and a 5% chance of triplets! Creating Your Fenniks You can create your fenniks through the khimbit demo. Note that you need to select breed and gender before markings will show up. If you haven't seen the fenniks before, be sure to notice the difference in pose between male and female before creating your fenniks! Finding Fenniks and Their Owners To search for a fennik, go here and input the ID number of the fennik in question. This will bring you to a page showing the fennik's patterns and their owner. If you wish to opt out of having other people see that you are the owner of your fenniks, you can change this setting under account setup. 38 Comments |

Without further ado, here are this month's retro/marine festival themed items, khimbits, and serums! If you are especially lucky you may receive this bonus abalone serpint when opening packs!  (Just to let you know, we've also switched the retro packs out of crystal quest and switched in the new August packs, as well. Multi-Equip now available for all items!
So, after testing out the multi-equip function for backgrounds for a while, we've decided to expand this system to INCLUDE ALL ITEMS. Yes that's right, you now only need to have one copy of any item in your chest, and it will be able to be used to decorate all applicable khimeras/characters and also aethers/islands after the merge! However, if you wish to use more than one copy of an item on the /same/ khimera/character etc., you will need to place multiple copies in your equipment chest. For example, if you want to decorate pets using 5 cotton grass items all on the same pet, you will need 5 cotton grass copies in your chest to do so. The way items "equip" has changed a bit. In the past, items actually attached to the particular khimera you equipped them to, until you removed that item - meaning that you could transfer a khimera to a friend, for example, with items still attached. Items no longer attach when used for decorating - only the image is used. The item itself stays in your chest. You can decorate a khimera and sell it with the decorations still showing, but if the new owner regenerates the image, the khimera will no longer be decorated (unless the new owner has the same decorations in their chest, as well). If you decorate your pets/characters with an item and later remove it from the chest, the next time you regenerate that khimera, the regeneration will fail with a message asking you to remove the item, or place it back in your chest. Khimeras (and later Aethers) may now be equipped to your Characters (and to Aluriya islands, post merge)! You can now add images of your khimeras to your Character's image! You can even dress up your khimera first and then add them to the image - however, remember that you'll need to set the background to transparent unless you want a khim with a background showing up on your character! Invisible khimeras will NOT be able to be equipped, however. Sorry ;)  24 Comments |

We are beginning turn-in month by opening up the treasure trade-in! How it works: We will release "pools" of items, 100 at a time. There is a breakdown of which items are available from each pool, further down in this news post. Each user is able to turn in unlimited numbers of items, but can PICK from the pool up to 5 times per half hour (or 3 double picks will get you 6 items). As item pools are depleted, new pools will be opened. We will try to replace the pools regularly, but there may be some time periods when staff are not available, so a little patience will be needed. We will continue to open prize pools for the entire month of August. GO HERE TO TURN IN YOUR ITEMS AND SPEND YOUR POINTS. Gryph Khimbits and Panthira khimbits will be worth 1 point each. They will not be able to be turned in next year. Please note that none of this year's items will be able to be turned in, next year. The following is a breakdown of the number of items in each pool of 100 items. You may NOT reveal which items you received from one pool of items, until all the items from that pool have been claimed! Master Items 3 Master Items, which will remain a mystery until claimed! There are accessories that will work with all (or most) pets, accessories that are breed-specific, unique carbuncle khimbits, and unique flutterbye khimbits in the total pool of master items. These will strip the alternate image from any khimera, including gryphs. **Please note that these currently have a temporary blank image, which will be updated tomorrow** 2 of each color of Jingle Warmers Pack - Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Lilac, Pink. Each pack contains a set of arm and leg warmers.       2 of each color of Rose Topiary equippables - Peach, Pink, Red, White, Yellow.      Each pool will contain 10 of the following serum packs           If you are lucky enough to get a master item, you can sell copies of your item through the Special Items Shop, also linked through "Main" in the navigation bar.
