In the search for Onyx and Neko, we turned her quaint little tea shoppe upside down looking for clues, and happened to stumble on some interesting finds that she must have stashed away for a rainy day. And well, er... while we were searching the tea shoppe we might have left the door open, and it's distinctly possible that some woolabits (and maybe a few SQLs) snuck in and ...well, you get the picture. >.> We are now prevailing upon you, the users of khimeros, to help us round up these potions before the wild khimera population gets into them! You may have to bribe the little thieves with trinkets to get them to hand over the goods, though. These new potions can be found in all of the foraging maps.

With the current amount of potions that we discovered missing, we estimate that it'll take you guys approximately two weeks to find them all before they're gone, so you'd better get busy! Please oh please find them before Onyx gets back and thwomps us all for going through her things! D:

In case you are wondering what these wonderous new potions do...

First up, we have Inverse Firefly Potions!




They come in the usual flavors--standard, rainbow, and rainbow enigma--but instead of making your khimera glow on the outside, they will create an inner glow within the body or the marking that you select.

In addition, we have discovered the Toon Potion, which creates an interesting effect when used on your khimera!

The Toon Potion currently can only be used in the custom demo, either when creating a new custom or when you are editing an existing khimera via the new edit in demo feature. Please keep in mind that, at the moment, there is no way to reverse this effect, so make sure you really want to toonify your khim before you do it.

Toon potions only work on khimeras that have been created on/moved to the "new" system - Draakiths, Panthiras, Grimms, and Witaras, and only on "demo" pets, not overlays. As more pets are moved to the new system, the toon potion will be useable on more breeds! The toon effect also passes down to offspring at the rate of 20% if one parent has been toonified, and 40% if both parents have been.

These next potions will definitely excite you breeders out there; the Alternification Breeding Potion and the Instant Birth Potion!



The Alternification Breeding Potion increases your chances at receiving an alternate khimera from your next breeding with whatever khimera you use it on. Keep in mind that an alternate is one of the alternative khimeras forms that can be found in the demo, i.e. the Witaras, Draakiths, and Panthiras. An Alternification Breeding Potion will NOT increase your chances to receive an overlay from a gold custom or a khimera that has been dipped in the wishing well, but will increase your chances of, for example, having a witara born instead of a standard uwila.

Also, you can only use an Alternification potion on a khimera that is already an alternate. So if you want to use it, it must be used on a khimera that is already a Draakith, Witara, or Panthira. The use of this potion will increase your chances at receiving an alternate offspring from 20% to 50%, and it does stack. Therefor, if you use an Alternification potion on two Draakiths and then breed those two Draakiths together, you are guaranteed to receive a Draakith offspring from that breeding.

As its name suggests, the Instant Birth Potion will allow you to instantly receive the offspring from the khimera you use it on. To use it, you must go to your inventory and select 'use'. You will then be prompted to select a female khimera that is guarding a chrysalis to use it on, and when you do, viola! Instant baby. You will still have to wait for that baby to reach breedable age before it can be bred, of course.

Hi! Some more updates for you guys.

Javascript Update
Sorry about any bugginess you guys might have experienced in the past day or two! We've updated our javascript libraries which needed some scripts to be updated. If you're running into any odd problems I'd recommend a hard refresh / cache clear first up, and if the problem persists just shoot us a help desk as usual and I'll see about squashing them ASAP. Make sure to include what browser and browser version you're using!

Along with the Javascript update is a foraging update - we've rolled out a new system which should run a lot faster. As usual, let us know if you run into any bugs or strange behaviour.

Item Demo
Some of you might have noticed that up until now, your khimeras look a little different between when they get dressed up and what they actually look like on their pages. We've decided to scrap and redo a large part of the old dress up demo to make it easier to use the item demo as well as decorate your khimeras.

While being dressed up, your khimeras should now look exactly the same as how they look on their page, with the drawback of being unable to layer items between mutations. If you drag and drop them on the menu you can still organise them as you like, but you won't see the correct layering effect on the items demo - you will need to regenerate the image and return to the khimera's page.

Custom Demo Slots
You can now purchase additional custom demo slots at a price of 3 slots per 1 bead.

Also, all gold custom orders now release their demo slots upon being accepted rather than being "locked" indefinitely. If you've had a gold custom order accepted in the past you should now be able to use your frozen slots.

Edit Through Demo
Next, a new feature! On your khimera pages you should now see a link labelled "Edit Through Demo". This is exactly like it sounds - using this feature you can edit your khimera through the demo page instead of having to go through dye pages, potion pages, the alternator, the enigmafier, and so on and so forth to do every little thing.

Note that the only features that you can change on a khimera are those that are already available to the site, this includes:

• Applying an alternate to an appropriate breed (i.e. paying 10 beads to change a Draak into a Draakith)
  
• Adding dyes using serums (no new markings of any other type)
  
• Adding glows using firefly potions
  
• Changing Rainbow opacity using an Enigma Essence
  
• Applying a Rainbow base to a mutation using a Mini Enigma Essence

If you attempt to do anything that is not permitted (i.e. re-arranging existing markings, adding markings or mutations, changing the khimera breed, etc.) the request will fail and the pertinent part of your form will be reset. If you want to play around with the design with more freedom, you can save a copy of the khimera into one of your custom demo save slots ^^

You might notice that rainbow and dye opacities are visible in this demo, this is an intended feature.

As with all new features, if you experience odd behaviour, please do make a help desk about it.

Draakith Alternifying
On a related note, the offer to alternify your Draaks into Draakiths for 10 beads will be closed in one week's time - after this, you will only be able to create Draakiths directly from the custom demo. If you have any Draaks left you'd like to see as Draakiths, better get them in!

Monthly Update
Lastly, as a heads up - we will be skipping the November monthly treasures in order to relieve the pressure on the beads market caused by the gold customs. Monthly treasures will be returning for December!

We will also be skipping this month's foraging khimbits, but you guys can look forward to some neat new forageable goodies that'll be available soon! :)
