We are asking anyone who is planning to create and submit, sell, or give away platinum khimera designs to plese RE-READ the rules.

In particular, please note the following"

"You may not substantially re-create or directly use any elements or characters that are protected by copyright. Each user is responsible for ensuring that their custom does not involve art theft or infringement of copyright in any way. Khimeros staff reserve the right to remove any design that is determined to violate copyright or constitute art theft, without recompense."

Khimeros staff cannot be expected to catch every reference to every copyrighted character in existence. The fact that someone else slips through something based on a copyrighted character does not mean it's ok for you to do so as well. It is the user's responsibility to be aware of the rules and follow them. If we approve something and then later find out that it is in fact based on a copyrighted character, we reserve the right to remove that overlay, including any overlays/khimbits purchased by other users, to require that the name of the platinum be changed, or to take any other action deemed necessary. If we have to remove an overlay, it will be replaced by an acceptable overlay at the site's discretion, and that includes any sold khimeras with the overlay, and any khimbit versions.

Please use caution when purchasing platinum overlayed khimeras from other users.

Copyrighted characters include anything from television, books, movies, games, etc. (Basically anything created by someone other than yourself).

A custom called "Pikachu" is not allowed. "Pikachu" is copyrighted.

A custom called something else but obviously representing Pikachu is still not allowed as it is still violating copyright.

A custom called "Gunslinger" is allowed because this could refer to something generic even though there is a well-known book character referred to as "The Gunslinger".

However if you were to add enough detail to make it clear that you were referring to THAT particular character and it cannot reasonably be construed as anything else, that is not allowed.

These rules apply to the custom itself, not to any scenes you may choose to create using temporarily placed deco items, etc.

The muntjacs have shuffled off, and we have some brand new breedable khimbits to give you a taste of our upcoming annual Retro Month festival! This year we're going very "retro" indeed, with the Prehistoric Festival!

Flame and Cream


To breed a Prehistoric Hibbary, go to the Meadow -> Breed Khimbits. You will need to select two "Hibbary" khimbits from your den to breed together. Different combinations gives you the chance to produce a different color!

You may breed khimbits once every 12 hours; the counters reset at noon and midnight, site time. If you try one combo of khimbits and it is not a valid "recipe", you will receive an error message and can try again. If you discover the correct recipe and your breeding attempt fails, you will need to wait until the counter resets.

If you are especially lucky, you may receive a "twin" khimbit during any successful breeding. This month's twin is the Visionary Prehistoric Hibbary!

You may experience some lag as we work on moving some of the images over to a new and improved image server. When done, this will help to alleviate some of the site lag, as well as improve overall page loading times.

The last standard and special Kiger pools have been opened! There should be enough Kiger in both pools to cover every remaining apple treat on the site, so have at it!
