The 2014 Winterfest Event Shop is now open!! Click HERE to visit it now. (It can also be found by going to Events in the menu bar > Event Shops > Winterfest 2014) Bring your snowballs and redeem them for points that can be used to buy all sorts of wintry goodies! Snowballs can be found in many places around the site, including in all of the foraging areas, by completing quests, playing dice, and randomly by participating in the live chat and forums! Snowballs are worth 1 point! Icy Snowballs are worth 2 points! Super Frozen Snowballs are worth 3 points! Ginormous Icy Snowballs are worth a whopping 15 points! 5 Comments

Be on the lookout for snowballs, icy snowballs, super frozen snowballs, and even GINORMOUS icy snowballs around the site! Snowballs, icy Snowballs, and super frozen snowballs may be found in all foraging areas, when playing dice, and in the forums. Be careful in the Lounge, you may be caught in the crossfire of a snowball fight! While questing, everyone can find snowballs. Bronze level questers can also find icy snowballs, silver level questers can find super frozen snowballs, and gold level and above questers have a rare chance to find a ginormous icy snowball!! What are these snowballs good for, you ask? They can be used to purchase items from the Winterfest 2014 Event Shop, opening soon!! NOTE: we are not resetting the snowball points this year. You can still purchase items from the 2013 event shop for one more week, then it will close, so get those last-minute items while you can! ART CONTEST YES THE ART CONTEST IS BACK! This year's theme is: Ice Caves! Please, interpret the theme however you like. Creativity knows no rules! But, er, here are the rules: -Your entry must contain at least one currently existing Khimera (meaning possible to exist, not necessarily one that you own), in "quad" form. -It may contain more than one khimera, khimbits, humans, etc. -It can be digital, traditional, sculpture, fabric art, etc. -You must be able to provide a clear image of your entry, however. -Can be colored or not. -Musical or video entries also welcome, as long as all content is original! The contest closes at 11:59 PM December 31. Prizes: 1st place: A Gold Drakona with the theme of your choice! 2nd place: ANY single chrysalis of your choice! 3rd place: 5 beads and an Ice Cave Pack We will also be selecting random entries to receive a January Monthly Treasure pack! The number given away will be determined by the number of entries. So get to arting, guys! We can't wait to see what you come up with! All of the Masquerade sprites have left the Wishing Well, but a new sprite has brought back hybrid switches! Take any hybrid to the wishing well and you will have the chance to flip it's front and back half! So, for example, if you have an Kalan-Ayalon and have access to the Wishing Well, you can now try your luck with a few wishing pennies and switch it into a Ayalon-Kalan! You will also have the chance to pick up the Switcherooiii Sprite. And for anyone who doesn't yet have Wishing Well access, you can purchase a Switcheroo Essence Pack in the Cash Shop. We would like to introduce a fantastic new type of item, Unique Deco Items! These are all hand coloured and designed, just like unique khimbits! You can go to the Vyne Event shop here (Events > Event Shops in the menu bar), and purchase your choice of Special Vyne for 4 beads. Vynes will stock randomly in the shop and any users may purchase them on a first come, first served basis! Be sure to check back regularly, you never know when a new gorgeous Vyne will stock! You can click on the thumbnails of the Vyne in the shop to see their large images. Unique Deco Items will be on a two month rotation, Special Vynes will retire at the end of December. IF this first series is successful, we will release free collector deco items in the future! Vynes are currently only planned as "Specail Items" while we gauge how popular Unique Deco Items will be. 11 Comments
