It's time for one last hurrah in our dragon event. To start things off, we're going to introduce a second limited edition khimera base; the Purrdra! Just like the Aeria, you can locate this alternate base by choosing draak/draak in the custom demo and selecting Purrdra from the list of alternates. There will only be a total of 50 Purrdra Chrysalids released during this event, and just like with the Aeria, any chrysalids obtained (directly, not traded for/bought) by mod or admin staff will be excluded from the total numbers released. Any Purrdra Chrysalids potentially released in future will be rare events (prizes, limited edition events, etc). Purrdra Chrysalids can be obtained from Gold, Platinum, and Rainbow Dragon's Eggs. For the first three months, the pass-down percentage of the Purrdra will be increased to 40%, but it is worth noting that there is no random drop chance for this breed. If you wish to receive an offspring carrying a Purrdra alternate image, you must breed a Purrdra to receive one; you will not randomly receive a Purrdra from a regular draak x draak breeding. But that's not all. Due to the sheer number of Rainbow Dragon's Egg items on-site, we are also opening up one final trade-in event; Dragon's Egg Turn-in Part Deux! In this shop you will find only one item, but we don't think you'll be disappointed. Elegan Chrysalids can be purchased for 10 points each in the Part Deux shop, which you can find here. Points are obtained only by turning in items from Rainbow Dragon's Eggs, though again unique hatchlings are excluded from the turn-in list. Just like the Purrdra, the pass-down percentage of the Elegan will be increased to 40% for the first three months, and they also do not have a random drop chance; you must breed Elegans to obtain Elegans. We would also like to note that we originally wanted to make the Elegan and Purrdra alternate Draak hybrids, but that is unfortunately not an option until we have some default hybrid Draak bases for them to overlay onto. Final note: It seems there are some issues with moving khimeras in the demo right now, so we recommend that you do not attempt to move khimeras while deco-ing until the issue is resolved. 7 Comments

...what fussy little creatures! It seems that Arktiks have emptied their stores of peppermints, so are finally being tempted by any Special Peppermint Treats you might offer them. Reminder for anyone who wants to take advantage of the BEAD SALE, it will be ending later today, March 2, at midnight site time! ~*~ Take a gander at the newest Khimera Platinum, the Stag! These tokens will be available for approximately two months. Once retired, the tokens will no longer be available to purchase from the cash shop, but may still be used, and sold in user shops. Retired tokens may be available via event prizes, or special events/sales. Under the current system, they will not be available for long-term purchase in the cash shop for a period of not less than two years from their original release date. Platinum custom bases are available for users to color/have colored and cannot be obtained in any other way, thus avoiding confusion regarding which pets are official site pets and which are user-created. Regular platinum customs can only be colored "inside the lines", and require a platinum token of the desired base. Be sure to read THIS PAGE for additional rules. Upgraded platinum customs may be colored inside and outside of the lines, and require a platinum custom token of the desired base, and a platinum upgrade token. Be sure to read THIS PAGE for additional rules. Platinum custom tokens cost $30 each, and platinum upgrade tokens cost $20 each. They include one free khimbit copy of your platinum, and you can sell further copies in the special item shop. Also included in the price is the generation 1 "underlay" khimera. The underlay breed for the Stag is the Ayalon. You must design your underlay and save it to one of your demo slots before you can process your platinum custom. Underlays come with the usual two free patterns/one free variation or two variations/one pattern unless otherwise specified. Extra patterns or variations may be purchased at the usual price, and you may use serums and glow items as long as they are available to be taken from your inventory. To begin processing your custom, simply click the platinum custom token in your inventory. If your design requires an upgrade token, it must be in your inventory when you submit your order. Platinum customs breed down just like gold customs do, at a rate of 20% when the offspring has a pure Ayalon base, and you can adjust the pass-down rate of the custom image (for gen 2+) from 20% to 2% and set it to "female only" as well. You can retrieve the .psd file for the base HERE. You don't need to purchase a base to experiment with the .psd. A tutorial on how to color the psd can now be found HERE! To clarify a a point regarding erasing/painting over the base - you may not erase/remove any parts of the platinum base. If you wish to create a transparent effect, you may lower the transparency only to the point that the entire pet is still visible when placed on a white background. For example - you wish to make some feathers look moth-eaten - you can "erase" parts of the feather as long as the "erased" bits are still visible against a white background (if only barely). 8 Comments
