Kai and Tai have new items available



Costal Mountain backdrops! Cloudy, Day, Night, and Sunrise!




At the Bronze level you could pick up the foregrounds (1 layer)



At the Silver level you could pick up the forest (3 layers)


And at the Gold level you could pick up the background (3 layers)





Instant Birth Potions and Mini Firefly Potions




Instant Birth Potions and Mini Firefly Potions are now available in ALL of the foraging areas. Use them to breed lots of pretty khimeras with the new bases!!

Standard Salmon Steak Treats are now available in ALL foraging areas, Dice!, Kai and Tai Quests, and in the Forums.







Standard Treats will run for approximately FIVE DAYS.

We have been getting several Help Desks asking to have their khimeras switched back to the Vintage base. Because of this, we will now be asking you to use the "Edit Through Demo" feature under the Khimera Control Panel on your khimera's profile page. This way, you can preview the khimera on the new base BEFORE saving any changes. DO NOT USE THE ALTERNATOR.

On top of this request, we have decided that starting NOW, if you switch to the new bases, you will not be allowed to switch them back to the Vintage base UNLESS it is a Gen1 Custom, or a Limited Release Alternate--i.e., Khirins, Panthiras, etc.. We will also not revert anything back that is above a Gen2--i.e., Gen3+ khimera. Converting them back simply takes too much time out of our already busy schedules, and we are trying to get things done as quickly as possible. **Help Desks that have been submitted BEFORE this News post will still be fixed!**

On a side note, Asadia bases can now officially be switched over from Vintage to the Rampant Asadia base! You can also create Customs with the Rampant base by using a regular Asadia chrysalis. (The same goes for the Leaping Ayalon base--you can use a regular Ayalon chrysalis to make a Leaping Ayalon custom. This will also be the same for any future bases!)





There is also a NEW Ayalon base that can be VIEWED in the demo--the "Leaping Antelope Ayalon". There is still a lot of work that needs to be done: markings/patterns added, shading edits, so it is a work in progress. (Viewed--not converted. More information regarding base will be in the next news post.)

Again: From now on, we will NOT be reverting khimeras back to the vintage base, and we ask that you use the "Edit Through Demo" feature (in the Khimera Control Panel) to view what a khimera will look like on their new bases. This way, you can view the khimera before deciding if you want to save it.

LABORATORY NOTICE


Looks like we've finally collected enough data surrounding the Gloomdogs to remove the toxin causing this disturbing mutation. Thank you for everyone who participated.

A toxin control team will be dispatched within the next 48 hours for an environmental cleanse. Please conclude any personal experimentation prior to that, and keep in mind that these mutations can still sometimes be passed down to new generations once the khimera has been affected. Thank you.

The following News post applies to all default purebred future bases!!

That's right! We have ANOTHER new khimera base to introduce--the Roving Likos!



Please be sure to FULLY read the News Post (and comments) regarding the new bases and breeding system!!

Now, when you are creating NEW Roving Likos customs, you will receive an additional FREE PATTERN! This means that you can choose either of the following options when creating your new customs:

3 Patterns + 1 Variation
-OR-
2 Patterns + 2 Variations

(In the past, it would have been 2 Patterns + 1 Variation, or 1 Pattern + 2 Variations.)
Breed Marking, Under, and Upper are all still free.

Breed marking applies to the nose color on the Roving Likos.

This also applies for users that have recently created new CUSTOMS (Gen1) on the Leaping Ayalon base! If you have recently created a new Ayalon, please be sure to submit a Help Desk Report, and we will get everything adjusted for you as soon as possible.

To answer some questions:

I'm being asked for serums/potions/beads when trying to change bases??!?!?!!
Answer: When changing the base of your ayalons and likos (either via the Alternator OR the "Edit Through Demo" option), you SHOULD NOT be charged anything EXCEPT for the Emergency Duct Tape or Serum Reposition Potions--if you need them! If it is asking you for additional items, please be sure to submit a Help Desk with the link to the khimera in question.



Will the underlay to our Plat/Gold Customs be affected when changing to the new base?
Answer: The underlays to your Platinum/Gold Customs will NOT be affected.

Will hybrids be released in the same manner?
Answer: Yes, hybrids will be released the same way as the new Leaping ayalon and Roving Likos bases.

How fast will we be seeing new bases?
Answer: Faster than in the past, but a definite time frame cannot be given.

Why can't horns be added to these as "paste on"?
Answer: We may still do that, although they won't be pasted on; they'll be an entire new base to keep it seamless.

The khimera seems large.. Will be be able to resize them in the future?
Answer: We plan to release that feature eventually.
