As part of the aforementioned changes to the site, we hope you will enjoy our first immersive event, which will run for the next two months. We present to you the opening chapter of... Finding Pyro"Goodbye, goodbye!" said Onyx distractedly as she looked over her shoulder toward Khistopher, standing on the front stoop of the Tea Shoppe at the Center of the Universe. "Please don't forget to give Neko her tuna! I'll be back soon!" Khistopher gave a roar of farewell as the little rainbow ocelot trotted off into the forest. "I'm going to wring Pyro's neck when I find him!" she muttered. "So much work to do and now I have to go running off after a lazy embarr who is shirking his duty in the games room! Not to mention creating a fire hazard out in the forest!" At least his trail will be easy to follow, she thought as she picked up the scent of smoke. All day she travelled, and as she began to catch sight of patches of scorched earth and a burned shrub or two, she began to worry. Would Pyro really come so far on his own? He had never run off this way before. She grew more worried as she entered a particularly thick grove and noticed embers and burning branches on the ground.  Oh dear! She thought. This could cause a massive forest fire if we don't do something about it! Spotting a blackbird swooping by, she called to it. "Please spread the word!" she called. "Ask all the residents of khimeros central to head out here and pick up these burning branches and saplings!" The bird twittered an affirmative and flew off back down the trail. ******** A red-winged blackbird flies up to you and asks you to head out to the forest to collect these burning items for the safety of all Khimairans!       6 Comments |

A new hybrid?! NO WAY! :O  The new Nereithan kalan-draak base is now available for creation in the Custom Khimera Demo! Simply switch the front and back breeds to kalan-draak, or draak-kalan, and refresh to see the new base! The Nereithan comes with QILIN SCALES and BAT WINGS for breed variations. No special chrysalis is needed; they can be created with a standard Hybrid Chrysalis. Hybrid chryses, along with the standard breed chryses (asadia, uwila, kalan, etc.) can be purchased in the Chrysalis Cave. The Nereithan can also be obtained by breeding draak and kalans together!   11 Comments |

May 2016 Treasures can now be found in the Cash Shop!   Inside you could obtain one of the following! Badlands Pack | Orange Sky Badlands Pack (each contains a 3 layer backdrop and a foreground item)   Badlands Boulder Pack | Prickly Pear Pack (contains 4 boulder and 2 cacti items)   Saguaro Cactus | Saguaro Cactus - Blooming   And if you're extra lucky, in addition to any one of those items, you could also get a Bird Bones Khimbit Treat! (what on earth eats that???) *** be sure to read the news below regarding unique khimbits. There will be an increased chance to receive treats from Treasure packs from now on!***   We also want to let everyone know that we are preparing to shake things up a bit. We are doing an overhaul of site activities and will be changing some activity rotations, adding some new activities, eliminating set months for festivals (excepting Masquerade, which will still happen every October) for greater flexibility, and generally trying to spread out some activities like turn-in month so that they happen more frequently through the year instead of being confined to a single month that exhausts users and staff alike. We hope these adjustments will bring revitalization to the site! The first specific tweak we are implementing is to unique khimbits. There will no longer be special or standard treats and there will no longer be special unique treats that can be directly purchased from the cash shop. Instead, all unique treats will be available via site activities like standard treats have been in the past, and we will be expanding the number of places that you can get treats from. Keep an eye out for more news on that! We will still have some events where you can direct purchase some uniques that stock in shops, as we have done a few times in the past. Unique khimbits will now have a TWO month rotation and in addition, there will be a rare chance to get some older bases dressed up in the current site theme as well! 17 Comments |
