As some of you have already noticed, we have some shiny new site forums. The forums are accessible under the communicate menu.

The old phpBB forums will stay where they are, so that we still have forums to use should the site ever go down. You should bookmark these, as we won't have a handy link in the menu bar forever.

These are just the basic forums, you may notice that a lot of functionality is still missing, like paragraphs and line breaks, clickable links and the ability to edit posts. Nas will be adding all these things but she worked really hard on the forums today and had to break for some sleep XD

The forums will not allow html but we will have some bbcode you can use there, you will also be able to post images :)

The issues with lockouts has been fixed.

I was getting very frustrated with how long it was taking to get the server running properly, so we just cut out the middle man and hired an Apache expert to go straight to the source and examine it for us. He found the problem almost immediately.

He will be examining all the Apache settings to make sure they are optimized for the site, and if we run into any further problems, we won't have to go through the hosting company. We can just get him to go in and fix the problem directly.

Looks like our miracle fix was not a miracle fix after all, at least not for everyone.

Still getting lockouts, though for a different reason this time, it appears. I'd advise against refreshing your inventory. For some reason, refreshing your inventory will cause you to be IP banned from the site for 10 minutes. How droll >_> I will be siccing Nasire on the hosting company again as soon as she gets up.

I'd like to reiterate that this is not a problem with the site code. This is a problem with Apache settings on the server not being set they way they need to be set. If this isn't fixed ASAP, we'll be moving to a completely different hosting company. I guess this is part of what Alpha testing phase is all about.

I thank you guys for all your patience with these issues. I'm actually glad we decided to make the move to a different server setup before we needed to, so that we could discover all these problems BEFORE we opened to the public >_>

It would appear the issue with the random locking out is fixed. :) This should also clear your problems with delayed chat postings. Essentially, you were clicking too often, and the site wouldn't have any of that. D: Now it will, hopefully.

We'll also post urgent news (such as when the server went down for a couple of hours to switch to a better one - sorry about that!) when for some reason we cannot post them on the site.
