We made a rather sudden decision to move to Open Beta. What does this mean? Well... in practical terms for current members, not a lot, except that we are getting closer to a "finished" site :3 We have a few fun things finished coding that we are just waiting to get back the art for, and in the next few months we hope to finish up all the main features that we have had planned for the site (plus the backlog of old items that need to be re-drawn and distributed!) :3

What this means for those who have not yet signed up for an account, is that you no longer need a beta code for registration. Simply click the "Register" button. Remember though, that we do only allow one account per person!

Introducing the Official Khimeros Roleplay Community!

This is your preview of Communities on Khimeros. Introducing the official site roleplay group, where all site-run RP will take place. There are different forums for fandom roleplay, non-Khimeros related original roleplay, and unofficial Khimeros roleplay (which is locked until I can put up the guidelines and some information about the world).

You must first join the Community, which is public, meaning anyone can join. Visit the Communities link under the "Communicate" menu, and select the Public Roleplay Group (or use the direct link).

Once you have joined, you can set up your characters! Click the link to characters in the group navigation sidebar. You can set up to 5 characters, which you can choose to either link to your "Human Avatar" character, to one of your Khimeras, or choose to not link to either if you wish to use a non-Khimeros character. If you link to a HA character or a khimera, a small image of them will show when you post, linking back to their page! You can also add your own link using bbcode to your own personal character, or post an image no larger than 300 x 300 px.

There is also a RP chatroom, for asking questions, seeking partners, and just plain chatting! Please do not RP in the chatroom, or advertise your RP threads. You can access the chatroom via the navigation sidebar.

Please read ALL the rules in the forums before posting!

Users cannot create your own Communities yet, but this feature will be coming soon!

We have restructured the payout and number of plays per day for most games.

When the games were first introduced, there wasn't as much to do on the site, so we had them set to 10 plays per day. However, most of our games take a long time to play, so with the number of games we have now (and a new one coming soon-ish), most people don't have time to play them all ten times a day and the payout was getting too small to make it worth it.

Most of the games have been lowered to 3 plays per day, but the payout per game has been substantially raised. This should make it more worth it to play the games and drastically reduce the amount of time it would take to get in all your maximum plays per day.

The new payout ratio is listed on the games page.

We've been working very hard for quite some time to roll out a new system for user profiles.

*First I want to mention that if you have had custom profiles coded there is no need to panic. You can choose to use either the new system OR the old system. Current accounts are all showing the old system by default, you will have to switch manually to make the new system active*

Most people want to make their profiles look nice, but not everyone knows how to use css. This new system uses modues with a drag and drop sytem, and is fully customizeable without the need to know css.

The default profile color scheme also changes to match whichever site theme you are currently using (unless you customize it yourself).

I won't go into any more detail about the new system, as Away has written a very lovely guide that explains the whole system in detail! Major props go to Nas and Away for all their hard work on this.
