This month's khimbits are the Hippogryff and the Saber!

We are also introducing a new feature for upgraded users! From now on there will be two free colors for all users to collect (currently still via foraging, the way it always has been), but upgraded users will be able to get a chance at one extra color of each breed while playing dice! These colors will come in male and female, so will be eligible to be breedable. This month, upgraded users have a chance to find:

We have dropped the shimmering crystal levels back since the holiday is over, but they will stay at double the previous normal percentage, for everyone while playing dice :)

The forageable colors of saber and hippogryff are not out yet, but I will try to get them switched in some time tonight or tomorrow.

The panthiras and pirate woolabit are now dennable and also equippable.

Most items other than items worn on the khimeras' bodies should now be working. Items worn on the body currently only work on asadias (if you equip them, they will show up as asadia positioning, currently :P)

The Winterfest event is now over! That means you will no longer be hit by snowballs when posting in the forums (I'm sure that will come as a relief to some :P) and you may trade in your snowballs for points to spend in the Prize Shop! The Prize Shop will remain open for one month only, so be sure to cash in your points for items before it closes! World --> Winterfest Prize Shop

The wrapped chocolates, festive Onyx plushie (a Christmas gift from Twi ^^), the snow alopex (which is an equippable, not a khimbit), and the leetol pines are all moveable/resizeable items. The remaining items are standard background items.

The first two khimeras labeled "all dressed" are previewing multiple items, the khimeras with blue backgrounds are demoing items singly (needless to say, the khimeras do NOT come with item purchase :P)

You may notice that some items now have red outlines. This means that they are moveable/equippable items :3

First off -- please do not regenerate your rainbow enigmas right now. We'll let you know when it's OK to regen them again.

So, today we have switched over to the brand new khimera script that has been in the works for a few months now! you should not see too much of a difference, most of the changes were in the "back of the house", in the coding. Khimeras are no longer in two pieces, front and back - each breed and hybrid has its own single image. This is in preparation for adding new hybrid images in future :3

We have also introduced a brand new equipping system!

Most *equippable items* (not background items - those work fine) are not working right now. I will be going through and adding all items to the correct folders today/tomorrow. Khimbits should all be working now (on draaks too!).

When you equip a khimbit, the image will show up in the top left corner of your khimera's image, the same size of the den image (we had to adjust the den image sizes slightly). On the manage items page, you can now click on the item and change the size of the item and move the item around in the image! That means you can equip several different colors of the same khimbit breed to the same pet, you can move them around in the image, even have tiny khimbits standing on your khimera's head :P Then click "save" and it will save the size and positioning of your khimbit.

On the move/resize page, the large image of the khimbit will show up while you are moving/resizing but will disappear when you save.

Layering of items/bits still works the same as always.

As equippable items come back again, many will now also be repositionable and re-sizeable :3

This is a big change and there may be glitches which we will address as soon as we can. Please post any glitches here in this news thread!

You may notice some strange things going on with den images and item equipping in the next day or so, we're working on something pretty cool that I will post news about when it's all done ;) After that the new khimbits will be in, and there's lots more stuff in store in the next little while, so keep your eyes peeled!

Huh oh. Arabasti's chocolates have been stolen, again. D: And he's really, really not happy.

The woolabits have scattered Arabasti's chocolates all over Khimeros! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to retrieve all ten chocolates and take them back to Arabasti.

The first person to locate all 10 chocolates will also receive a gold trophy and a random purebred chrysalis! The second and third person will receive a silver trophy and a double monthly treasures pack! The fourth, fifth, and sixth people will receive a bronze trophy!

The chocolates are 20 x 20 px and can be located on any page in khimeros, *excluding* user pages such as profiles and shops, forum threads/posts and search results pages. They may be located anywhere in the page.

When you find a chocolate, click it and it will take you to your chocolates checklist page. You can also access the checklist under "World" in the main navigation menu.

When you have located all 10 chocolates, you must visit Arabasti's page in the mountains and turn them in!

You are NOT allowed to collaborate on finding chocolates, or post anywhere on or off the site about where you found them (every person has a different list of places to find them, anyways).

You have two days to find all the chocolates!
