The forums are undergoing a revemp, as we stated in the last news post!

Now, in addition to being able to change your font, font color, and font size, we'd added some more functionality:

There is now a count of all the posts you have made on the forums, and for every 50 posts, one star will display. Your stars will start out yellow, and will cycle through different colors as your post count increases!

You can now choose one of your khimeras as your active khimera, and it will display under your name in the forums! Choose your khimera on the "account setup" page. The account setup page has also received a revamp to make it better organized! There will be a couple of features related to active khimeras soon.

You can now receive activity points when posting in the forums. These points act as raffle tickets, and at the end of the month we will make drawings for spiffy prizes! There may be other uses for activity points in future.   Please note that you cannot receive activity points from posts made in the "forum games" subforum.

When posting, there is also a chance that you may receive a rare color of the current khimbit! I will let you guys discover for yourself the two khimbit colors available now :)   Please note that you cannot receive khimbits from posts made in the "forum games" subforum.

The "Online Users" page has been updated. It now shows a list of users online who have viewed a page in the last half hour. Users who have been online more recently show at the top, and the longer the time from your last page view, the lower you will drop in the online list! At the top of the page you can also see the number of users who have been online in the past 24 hours.

Hey guys- just wanted to let you know we're playing around with some changes to the forums today. No need to be alarmed!

There's also a nifty new feature for you to play with, where you can change your font, font size, color and justification in the forums! You can access this from your account setup page.

We've decided that with the magnitude of the disaster in Japan, we'd like to try to raise some money for the Red Cross.

There will be three packs in total. The first, that we are releasing today, contains five colors of yukata that can be worn by male and female characters, as well as a katana that can be worn by characters AND khimeras. The katana will also be a useable weapon in tournaments once we add the ability to use weapons in battle.

The packs are $3 each purchaseable directly through paypal by clicking HERE. Our goal is to raise $500 for relief efforts from ALL packs sold. If we go over $500, we will split the remaining monies with half going to the Red Cross and half going to the site. We'd love to donate it all, but it is just not feasible to do so and also keep the site running at the same time.

If you would like to make sure ALL your donation goes to the Red Cross, you can donate directly to them via the link provided by paypal when you log in to your account there - unfortunately in this case you will not receive any items on the site.

The first packs will be available until the end of the month. There is no restriction on the number of packs you can purchase. There will be two additional packs next month, that contain a different clothing item but you can choose to purchase a male or female pack since the items look a bit different on male and female characters.

"Spring is in the Air" Khimera Customization Contest

Customize any khimera you own with any background/equippable items/khimbits to create a "spring" themed scene!

Winner of Best Overall Customization will receive their choice of any item on the site, including chrysalids! Winners of the remaining categories will receive 10 beads each! There may be runner-up prizes depending on the number of entries. There will also be a random drawing from all entrants to receive 5 beads.

One entry per account. You may change your customization at any time up to contest end, April 17 at 11:59 PM. Please right click on your pet's image, choose "copy image URL" and then use this to post the image in the contest thread, and include a link to your khimera. There is a BBCode guide for posting images and links at the bottom of all forum posts.

Your khimera *must* remain fully customized until after the contest is judged and some part of the khimera must be visible in the image. Please note that kalans (and kalan hybrids) and draaks still do not have all items working properly, so you may want to choose another breed of khimera to enter.

The snaawulfs have retired, and we have a new gen 2 khimbit for you to collect!

This time, you will need to breed matched pairs (white male and white female for example) of woolabits to obtain these new gen 2 woolabits!
