I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas Day!

(A quick note - the loparus have been cleaned out already o_0; I will be filling the pool again as soon as possible).

(Second quick note on the lag - we're aware that some people are experiencing pretty bad lag, and Karos will be investigating as soon as the holiday is over. In the meantime you can try closing your shoutbox and using the live chat page instead to see if this is helpful. You may also want to clear your cache and close/re-open your browser).

Some of you may have seen some previews already, but for those who have not-

Hibbary did something incredible for us as a Christmas gift to the site.

As many of you know, we have been planning for some time to replace the original khimera "default" bases. The "front and back" format khimeras have become obsolete and are looking rather dated when compared to our newer khimera bases.

We were anticipating that it would take quite a long time to get all these new bases created, prepared and loaded on to the site.

As an amazing gift, Hibbary created new bases and markings for all six original khimeras. All that is left is to create the variations for each breed, do some tweaking on the bases, then upload them.

I had hoped to be able to release the first breed today, but it still needs a bit of tweaking to the uploaded files to get them looking just right, so for now we'll stick with some previews!

(Note: the draak will also be getting a new default base, and I am not going to show the Kalan as it is still undergoing a few base tweaks).

So how is all this going to work?

When the new bases come online, the current bases will become "alternates" and the new bases will be the "default" meaning that when a khima is born, it will have the new base image.

All existing khimeras will keep their CURRENT images, but you will be able to change them to the new base if you wish.

If you still want a khimera to use the "old" base, you will be able to use a potion to change it back to the old base. However, the old bases will not support any new markings that may be added in future.

Just a quick note to say that there are another 90 or so loparu in the pool!



As another small note, I want to thank all the kind users who have sent Christmas gifts to my admin and playing accounts. However, I do have a personal policy that I cannot accept gifts from users. I feel this is the best way to avoid certain awkward situations that could arise ^^; So please do not feel slighted that I cannot accept your gifts! I appreciate the sentiment <3

First, a quick note on loparus, the pool WILL be replenished, probably later tonight or tomorrow. You have gone through more than 300 loparus, which makes it a little hard to keep up with demand ^^;

December's bead bribery event is now open!

Through the month of December, every string of beads ($5) that you purchase will give you 1 event point. These points can be redeemed at the Bead Bribery event shop.

For every 2 points that you spend, you will receive a random "loparu" khimbit. This event is the only way you can obtain this special khimbit. Each loparu is a one-of-a-kind custom-colored item, and no copies can be made.
