Lambkins are now available!

Special Lambsydivy is available to purchase in the cash shop for $5, or a double pack for $8 (double packs give a 20% chance of a bonus lambkin). Please note that you do not need to open the double pack, simply redeem it in the same way you would redeem the single.

Standard Lambsydivy can be obtained via foraging, quests, playing dice, and posting in the forums. When posting in the forums, there is a maximum limit of one lambsydivy per day per user, to a total of 5 per month.

Roughly 1000 Standard Lambsydivy items are being released each week until the end of the month, with 700 being designated to foraging and the remainder to quests, dice, and forums. There will be an additional chance for upgraded users to pick up extra lambsydivy, to replace the previous upgrade perk of a dice-exclusive khimbit color. This will not be in place until the vault dragons have finished their dice rotation, however.

In future there may be other ways to obtain the khimbit bait items.

To redeem your bait, visit the Lambkin Meadow link in the Events navigation menu.

At this point I'd like to clarify a few things regarding the switch to unique khimbits.

We're aware that having the unique bits in the checklist, index etc. is awkward and we have a number of changes lined up to address this.

-Unique khimbits will be moved out of the khimbit index, khimbit checklist, etc. and where appropriate will be given their own place.

-The ability to exclude unique khimbits when viewing trades will be implemented.

-A new "trade via dens" feature is coming - this will allow you to indicate that a khimbit is available for trading, and other users to then view your khimbits, make physical or verbal offers on them, allow you to reject all or part of an offer and leave the offerer a counter message, etc., all via the den!

There will probably be more changes that have not been mentioned here, but hopefully you get the idea - we know that there are issues regarding the change, and we'll be working to address them :)

-Draaks are still experiencing a few "wardrobe malfunctions" and we'll be addressing those as well ;)

We're making another change to the monthly packs in conjunction with changes to the khimbit system!

The unique khimbits have been such a success that we've decided to try switching over to a system where ALL khimbits (except breedables) are uniquely colored. More news about this following monthly treasure news!

Treasure Packs will now contain a total of 3 items, each with 2 variations, as well as the chance for a special bonus item (more about that below).

Here are this month's treasures!

Spring Hills Pack - Blue and Spring Hills Pack - Yellow (contain spring hill backdrop, sky, foreground, and foreground flowers)

Redbud Tree and Lavenderbud tree

The bonus item is the Special Lambsydivy, which you can redeem for a unique Lambkin Khimbit from the Special Lambkin Pool (note: there will be another news post when this item is ready for use).

New Khimbit System

How will the new khimbit system work? There will be two pools of khimbits, Standard and Special.

The Standard pool is limited to 4,000 khimbits each month. This is more than the average number of free khimbits previously picked up while foraging, so it will not decrease the number of khimbits picked up per month.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A "standard" lambkin"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to get a unique khimbit from the Standard pool you will need khimbit-specific bait, which will be available for free via foraging, dice, the forums, quests, etc. Standard khimbit baits do have a certain failure rate. More about the exact mechanics of using the bait will be posted when the feature is ready (hopefully within a few days).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another "standard" lambkin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second pool is the Special pool, and is unlimited. Users can access the special pool by purchasing a single or double pack of khimbit bait from the cash shop. Single packs will cost $5 and double packs will cost $8 and have a 20% chance for a bonus. Special khimbit bait can also be obtained as the bonus item from monthly treasure packs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A "special" lambkin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is the difference between standard and special lambkins? Special lambkins can display any markings, mutations and variations from the standard pool in combination with traits that are unique to the special pool, but standard lambkins will not display traits that are unique to the special pool. So, for example, you may see a lambkin in the special pool that has the "goat" marking and ram's horns, but you will never see ram's horns on a lambkin from the standard pool.

If you are confused about the changes, remember that there will be more news before the khimbit feature becomes active :)

In the meantime, keep your eyes open for more wyvir pools. Pools will be created until there is a wyvir for each pack in existence on the site.

The new default Draak bases are in!

Original Draak bases are now known as "Vintage" and are considered alternates.

All Draaks born from here on out will have the new default bases.

You can change any vintage Draak to a default Draak by using the edit-in-demo option, which you can find in your khimera's admin panel (the sidebar where you find the regenerate link). There will be potions available in the future to revert default Draaks back to vintage bases if you so choose.

A couple of quick notes on the new Draaks:

- We are still working on tweaking the enigmas on new draak bases, so keep in mind when creating any new customs/switching vintage Draaks to default Draaks that any enigma markings are subject to some slight changes.

- We are also aware that Draak thumbnails are not centering at the moment; we are already working on a fix for this.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also as a quick reminder, today is the LAST day that Wyvir packs can be purchased; the packs will be removed from the Cash Shop at midnight site time, but remember that there will be Wyvirs made for each and every pack that has been purchased. Every one of these packs on the site will be redeemable for a Wyvir.
