Khimera "Deco"

Khimeros has one of the most dynamic and fully-featured item equipping systems out there. The main features include:

- The ability to not only equip items to your pet, but also move the item, resize it, and change the layer order, including layering items in front of or behind your pet.

-Multiple-layered items and backdrops, so that you can for example, place a tree item behind two layers of a backdrop item.

-Drag and Drop layer functionality.

-Unlimited items - equip as many items to your pet as you like at the same time.

-Multiple use items - place a single item in your equipment chest, and be able to use that item to decorate multiple khimeras in your lair at the same time.

- Multiple iterations of the same item - place two copies of the same item in your equipment chest and have the ability to use the item more than once in the same deco image.

- Filters to change the overall color or darkness of your deco image, or to provide special effects like blurring.

- Animation effects - choose eligible items from the "animated" list while equipping to turn on animation for that item.

First, however, you will need to add your deco items to your equipment chest. To add items to your chest, simply click on the item in your inventory, and click 'Add to Chest'.

If you are adding a lot of items at one time, just go to your equipment chest and select the check boxes of the items you'd like to add, and then click 'Add Items to chest!'

Once you have items in the chest, you can start decorating! Go to a khimera's page and selecting the 'Manage Equipped Items' option under the Khimera Control Panel.

If you wish to increase the size of your khimera's deco canvas to the full width, or make it narrower, grab the bottom right hand corner and move your mouse to the left to shrink and the right to increase the width.

You can either browse through the items available in your chest, or search specific categories of items. You can also type in all or part of an item name to search for it in your equipment chest. When you find an item you'd like to equip, click on the thumbnail image and it will appear in the list of equipped items on the bottom left-hand side of the page.

To move or resize the item, select the item in the list, and a red selection box will appear on the canvas. Grab the corner of the selection box to resize, and click on the item itself to move it.

To change the layer order of the item, simply drag and drop the item to a new layer.

To move your khimera around on the canvas, be sure that there are no items equipped above the khimera layer, then use your mouse to grab the khimera image and move it around. When you "drop" the khimera, you must wait for the image to reload, showing the khimera in its new placement, before you can continue with decorating.

To equip an animated item, be sure to select it from the "animations" menu to activate the animation. You will not be able to see the animation until you finish and save your deco and visit the khimera's page. Animations must be equipped to the TOP layer of your deco.

If an item has multiple layers, you can drag and drop other items in between the layers of that item, or place one or more layers above the khimera and one or more layers below the khimera. Basically, treat each layer as a separate item as far as layering goes, but be aware that when moving or resizing, all layers of the item will move and resize together regardless of where they are layered.
